How the IMPT offset stacks with on-property features
The carbon offset funded by IMPT — one tonne of UN-verified CO₂ retired on-chain per booking — is independent of any property-level eco-features. That means a locally-sourced food hotels property gets the IMPT offset on top of whatever it is already doing on energy, waste, sourcing or guest experience. We don't substitute one for the other and we don't double-count.
What we list, what we don't
IMPT lists hotels — what makes the booking carbon-neutral is the offset, not a property certification. Where a property has a public sustainability commitment, certification, or measurable feature, we surface it on the hotel detail page. Where there isn't a verifiable claim, we don't make one up.
